Refined oil

Refined oil

Refined oil According to Article 4 of the Measures on Refined Oil (Decree No. 23 of the Ministry of Commerce of 2006), refined oil refers to gasoline, kerosene, diesel and other alternative fuels that meet the national product quality standards and have the same purpose as ethanol, gasoline and biodiesel.

Refined oil is made from the production and processing of crude oil, which can be divided into six categories: petroleum fuel, petroleum solvent and chemical raw material, lubricant, paraffin, petroleum asphalt and petroleum coke. Among them, petroleum fuel production is the largest, accounting for about 90% of the total production; Various lubricant varieties are the most, the output accounts for about 5%. All countries have developed product standards to meet the needs of production and use.

Main categories of refined oil:

Gasoline: The most consumed type. Gasoline boiling point range is 30~205℃, density is 0.70~0.78 g/cubic centimeter, commercial gasoline according to the oil in the cylinder combustion resistance to knock combustion performance, marked as 70, 80, 90 or higher octane number. It is mainly used as fuel for cars, motorcycles, speedboats, helicopters and agricultural and forestry aircraft.

Jet fuel: Used primarily by jet aircraft. The boiling point range is 60~280℃ or 150~315℃ (commonly known as aviation gasoline and aviation kerosene). In order to meet the needs of high altitude low temperature and high speed flight, this kind of oil requires high caloric value and no solid crystallization at -50C.

Kerosene: boiling point range of 180~310℃, mainly for lighting, life cooking. Require the flame smooth, bright without black smoke, production is not big.

Diesel oil: The boiling point range is 180~370℃ and 350~410℃ two classes. For petroleum and its processed products, it is customary to refer to low boiling point or boiling point range as light, conversely called heavy. Therefore, the former is called light diesel and the latter is called heavy diesel. Commercial diesel oil is classified according to the freezing point, such as 10, 0, -10, -20, etc., indicating the applicable ambient temperature. Diesel oil is widely used in vehicles (including trains), ships, and diesel boilers using diesel internal combustion engines. Because high-speed diesel engines are more fuel-efficient than gasoline engines, diesel demand is growing faster than gasoline, and some small cars are switching to diesel.

Petroleum solvent: petroleum ether, 190#, 200# solvent oil. Among them, petroleum ether is divided into 30-60 degrees, 60-90 degrees, 90-120 degrees three kinds, solvent oil to oil dry point for brand, respectively used for flavor, oil, paint industry, reagents, rubber processing, coating industry to do solvent, or cleaning instruments, instruments, mechanical parts.

The oil refining unit produces base oil made by various refining processes and adds a variety of additives, so it has special function and high additional output value.

Grease: solid or semi-fluid made of lubricant thickening agent, used for bearings and gears that are not suitable for lubricating oil. Calcium base and lithium base two common, calcium base grease commonly known as butter, the largest amount, the most widely used, suitable for most cases of equipment lubrication, lithium base grease is suitable for the use of relatively high temperature environment.

Paraffin oil: including paraffin wax (accounting for 10% of total consumption), local wax, petroleum grease, etc., according to the use can be divided into industrial grade, cosmetic grade and food grade three grades. Paraffin wax is mainly used as packaging materials, cosmetics raw materials and wax products. It can also be used as chemical raw materials to produce fatty acids (soap raw materials).

Petroleum asphalt: mainly used for roads and buildings.

Petroleum coke: Used in metallurgy (steel, aluminum), chemical (calcium carbide) industry to do electrode.

In addition to the above petroleum commodities, each refining unit also gets some products that are gases at normal temperature, called refinery gas, which can be used as fuel directly or pressure liquefaction to separate liquefied petroleum gas, and can be used as raw materials or chemical raw materials.
